James Alton Horning    

James Horning

James Alton Horning, age 87 of Davenport, Fl. passed away Tuesday (3/3/09) at the Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center from heart failure.

 

Mr. Horning was born Mar. 13, 1921 in Alleghenyville, Pa. to Paul B. and Louella (Good) Horning. Mr. Horning  moved to Florida in 1953 and after residences in Blairsville, Ga and Tipp City, Ohio,  he returned to Florida in 2003. Mr. Horning was a retired manager for Turner and Gee Foods also a World War II , Marine Veteran and a member of Davenport United Methodist. . He is survived by his wife of  62 years; Mildred Horning.

Dean Horning & wife Jean of Orlando, Fl.     

David Horning of Winter Garden, Fl.;

 

Daughter Judith Torrey and Husband Dennis of Troy, Ohio.

 

2 Brothers Harold Horning of St. Petersburg, Fl.

                  Paul Horning, Jr. of Bushnell, Fl.

 

Sister, Anna Mary Wolf of Bradenton, Fl.

 

4 Grandchildren

Memorial Services will be 3:00 PM.  Saturday (3/7) at the Davenport United Methodist Church, Davenport, Fl
