BARTOW – Elsie Faye "Pistol" Jones of Bartow, died March 2, 2009 at her residence due to a brain tumor. 

Born April 20, 1944 in Winter Haven, she has been a lifelong resident of the area.  She was of the Baptist Faith; was a Certified Life Underwriter and worked for Monumental Life Insurance Co. 

Preceded in death by; her husband,  Jimmy B. Jones, Sr. in Sept., 2008; and two brothers, Jerry Buck Gunn and Larry Lee Gunn.  She is survived by: a son, Jimmy B. Jones, Jr. and his wife Cilicia of Bartow, FL; a daughter, Brenda G. Coe and her husband Rex of Dixie County, FL; a brother, Charles E. Gunn of Bartow, FL; five sisters, Verla Mae Hatfield of Lakeland, Betty Jean Steele of Winter Haven, Barbara Ann Robinson of Winter Haven, Jacqueline Marie Smith of McDonald, TN and Vera Sue Harris of Winter Haven;      three grandchildren, Jeffrey Northcott Jones of MA, Jenna Rae-Lynne Coe and Ridge Lindon Coe of Dixie County, FL; two great-grandchildren, Ella and Ethan Jones of MA and four step-grandchildren, Roderick L. Coe of Dixie County. FL, Roman L. Coe of Auburndale, and Daniel and Jessica Baldwin of Bartow, FL. And two step-great-grandchildren, Levi Coe of Dixie County and Hunner Coe of Auburndale. 

The family will receive friends from  5:00pm till 8:00pm, Friday, March 6, 2009 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Boulevard, NW, Winter Haven. Funeral Services will be 10:00am, Saturday, march 7, 2009 in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steven Darley officiating.  Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
