 James William Farmer    

 

 

WINTER HAVEN - James William Farmer, 68, of Winter Haven, FL went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 22, 2009 at the Good Shepherd Hospice Resident Center in Auburndale.

 

Born May 2, 1941 to Siegel and Pearl Sorrells Farmer  in Brantley, Alabama he moved to Winter Haven 45 years ago from Alabama.  He was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church in Auburndale and was a retired mechanic at Superior Auto Service in Winter Haven.

 

Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by: his wife of 47 years, Janie Farmer; 2 sons, Jim Farmer of Babson Park, Fl and Matt Farmer of Winter Haven; a brother, Clifford Farmer of Elba, AL; 3 sisters, Louise Knighten, Eugenia Parker and Margie Macon all of Elba, AL; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. 

 

The family will receive friends from 9:00 am till 10:00 am, Friday, June 26, 2009 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven.  Funeral Services will begin at 10:00 am in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Glen Levan officiating.  Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.  Memorial Donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, FL 33823.  Condolences may be sent at www.oakridgefuneralcare.com.
