AUBURNDALE – E. Oyean Delmas, 83, of Auburndale, FL died Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at her residence due to heart  failure.

Born April 17, 1926 in Ethridge, Tennessee, she moved here 65 years ago from Alabama.  She was a homemaker and a member of the Village Church of God in Winter Haven where she was a Sunday School Teacher.

Preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, John F. Delmas, Sr., she is survived by: 2 sons, John F. Delmas, Jr. of Winter Haven and Jonathan Delmas of Auburndale; 3 daughters, Yvonne Otero of Auburndale, Janna Delmas of Gulf Hammock, FL and Sheinah Y, Bryan of Lakeland; a sister, Maybelle Abbott of Winter Haven; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 5 great –great-grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00pm till 2:00pm on Thursday, June 18, 2009.  Services will follow at 2:00pm in the Oak Ridge Funeral Care Chapel, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven, FL . Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery in Winter Haven.  Donations may be made in her memory to Hope Hospice,  9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, FL 33908.
