HAINES CITY - James G. Tallant, age 84 of Haines City,  Fl. passed away Tuesday, (7/28/09) from heart failure.

Mr. Tallant was born Oct. 26, 1924 in Bucks County, Pa. and moved to Haines City from Maryland in 1993. He retired as Lieutenant Commander with 28years of service in the United States Navy. He had served during  WW II, Korean War, and Vietnam War.  Mr. Tallant was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Haines City,  Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge #1023, Winter Haven and the American Legion , Frierson-Nichols Post # 8, Winter Haven.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph L. and Clair (Davis) Tallant and a son Gregory Tallant.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Margaret I. Tallant, Haines City, Fl.

2 sons; David Tallant of Alexandra, Virginia and Sam G. Tallant of Lusby, Maryland

2 Brothers Richard Tallant of Haines City, Fl and Michael Tallant of Pittsburgh, Pa. 10 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.
