HAINES CITY, FLORIDA - Vonicile Powell of Haines City, died July 10, 2009 at her residence in Haines City. She was 76.

Vonicile was born on October 28, 1932, in Colquitt, Georgia, to Paul Griffin and Beaula Hurst Griffin and moved to this area in 1952 from there. She owned Powells Antiques over 30 years. She was a member of Faith Temple Assembly of God in Haines City. She loved travelling and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Evans Powell. She is survived by; sons, Edgar Powell of Haines City, Florida, Michael Powell of Kissimmee, Florida, Grandchildren; Michelle Bozeman, Jana Muniz, Michael Powell and Briana Powell; two brothers, one sister seven great grandchildren. and one great great grandchild.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M., Monday, July 13, 2009 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM., Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at the funeral home chapel, with Pastor James Cain officiating.
