Kissimmee - Anne L. (Murphy) McLaughlin, age 63 died at her home Monday, July 27, 2009, in Kissimmee, Fl. She resided in Warwick and Narragansett, Rhode Island, until retiring to Florida in 2005.
She was the daughter of the late John E. and Gertrude (Lynch) Murphy. She was the wife of Raymond McLaughlin she also leaves her brother, John E. Murphy, Jr. of Warwick and her sister, Maureen Amend of Naples, Fl. and several nieces an nephews.
A graduate of Pilgrim High School, Warwick, she also attended classes at Rhode Island College and the University of Rhode Island. A long-term employee of the University of Rhode Island, She worked in the Engineering Department, the Registrar's office and the purchasing department until her retirement.
She was an active member of the Solovita Community where she lived.
A Memorial services will be held in Rhode Island at a later date. A visitation will be from 2 to 4 P.M. Thursday (7/30) at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 1001 Grace Ave. Haines City, Florida.
In Lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the M. D. Anderson Research Center, 1400 Orange Avenue, Orlando, Fl 32806.
