WINTER HAVEN – Joshua George Foster, 73, of Winter Haven, FL died Sunday, July 19, 2009 at Winter Haven Hospital due to heart failure.    

Born January 5, 1936 in Middletown, DE , he moved to the area 23 years ago from Orlando, FL.  He was retired from the Walt Disney World Fire Department and worked as a plan reviewer for the Polk County Fire Department.   He was of the Catholic Faith,  a member of the International Fire Fighters Assn., a past member of the Elks Lodge in Winter Haven and a veteran of the U.S. Army.   

Mr. Foster is survived by: his wife of 23 years, Joyce; a son, Joshua Foster, Jr. of Lake Mary, FL; 7 daughters, Elva Roedell of Orlando, Robin Lemus of Oviedo, Georgiana Anderson of Orlando, Kathrine Wright of Orlando, Patricia Goodwin of Orlando, Tina Charette of Winter Haven, FL and Linda Lasinger of St. Cloud ; a sister, Marjorie Logan of Wilmington, DE; 17 grandchildren;  and 5 great-grandchildren.  

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00am, Friday, July 24, 2009 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Boulevard, Winter Haven with Chaplain Marvin Pittman officiating.  In lieu of flowers please make Memorial Donations to the American Heart Assn.
