HAINES CITY - Barbara Louise Reading (Sinnott) June 7, 1935 – July 12, 2009. After a courageous 4 year battle with cancer, Barbara was carried home by angels to the Lord. Barbara was born and raised in Loogootee IN and graduated from St. Johns High School there. She was one of seven children born to the late Thomas and Bertha (Kidwell) Sinnott and was the beloved wife of Gerald Reading for over 52 years. Barbara will forever be remembered by Sinnott brothers William (Wilma) and Patrick (Judy), loving sisters Dorothy Sinnott, Rita (Charlie) Lavely and Mary (George) Williams. She was preceded in death by her brother Robert (Carolyn) Sinnott. Barbara leaves behind beloved children Annette (Harry) Mohr, Karen (John) Raszka, Sharon (Douglas) Elieff, Mark (Sharon) Reading, and Anthony (Amanda) Reading, 12 treasured grandchildren, along with countless other family whom were blessed to know her.

Barbara worked for Champion Spark Plug in Toledo for 18 years before moving to Florida where she became a CAST member for Disney.  Her favorite thing to do was to take her grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family to the "Happiest Place in the World" and make sure they had their mouse ears when they went home.

Barbara touched the lives of many people with her smile and generosity, and maintained her devotion to Christ through the Blessed Virgin all the way to the end of life here on earth.
