WINTER HAVEN - Mary Powell Deal Aikens , 72, of Winter Haven died Monday, July 27, 2009 at Winter Haven Hospital due to respiratory failure. 

Born December 17, 1936 to Houston Lee and Geneva Duncan Powell in Florala, Alabama, she moved to Winter Haven in 1946.  She was of the Baptist Faith.

Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by a son, George Deal of Winter Haven; a brother, Angus Terrell Powell of Sarasota, Fl; a sister, Edrie Farris of St. Cloud, FL and 3 grandchildren, Amanda, Matt and Cynthia.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00pm, Wednesday, July 29, 2009 in the Oak Ridge Funeral  Care Chapel with Pastor Charles Harkala officiating.  Condolences may be sent at www.oakridgefuneralcare.com.
