Viola T. Butler
WINTER HAVEN, FLORIDA - Viola T. Butler of Winter Haven, FL passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at home from respiratory failure.
She was 74. A native of Omaha Nebraska, born September 20, 1934, Viola has lived in this area close to 50 years, moving here from California. She was a retired Telephone Operator, and of the Baptist Faith.
Viola is survived by her son: Michael (Donna) Butler of St. Joseph, MO; her daughters: Marti (Jeff) Powell of Winter Haven, FL, and Jeanne (Herb) Flanders of Lake Wales, FL; her brother: Kenneth Toland of California; her sisters: Margie Pearson of Missouri, Sarah Crites of California, Betty Jane Mendenhall of Dundee, FL, and Eva Merle Hancock of Davenport, FL. Viola also has 4 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Winter Haven. Funeral services will be Saturday, 2:00 PM from the funeral home chapel.
Interment will follow at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens.
