LAKELAND - Lois M. Bowie, age 82 of Lakeland, passes away Saturday (1/17) from cancer. 

Mrs. Bowie was born December 21,1926 in Utica, New York, the daughter of Gwenydd and Jane (Thomas)  Parry. She had retired as a Secretary to the Superintendent of Schools in East Rutherford, NJ.  Mrs. Bowie moved to Lake Wales in 1994 and then to Lakeland  two months ago. 

Mrs. Bowie was preceded in death by her Husband Frank in Nov. of  2008 and is survived by her two sons, Dennis and wife Lynn Bowie of Rolesville, NC.; Douglas and wife Randi Bowie of Boynton Beach, Fl.; Daughter Debbie and husband, John Mania of Lakeland, Fl. 6 Grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, three Sisters In Laws, Janet Connell, Grace Bowie and Margie Bowie and Brother In Law, Jack Bowie.

Friends will gather at the residence of Debbie Mania,  1:00 PM. January 20, 2009 to celebrate the life of Mrs. Bowie.
