Leo Dunson Ziglar

Leo Ziglar

WINTER HAVEN - Leo Dunson Ziglar, 92, long-time Winter Haven resident died a peaceful death of respiratory failure at home with her 4 daughters.

A woman of unending kindness, quiet strength, and a profound faith in God; her life was a life well-lived. A life etched with curiosity, creativity, and integrity. Her interests were many: gardening, art, music, cooking, travel, reading, sewing, and nature. Always searching for the simple lessons in nature and life; a life filled with grace.

Leo Dunson Ziglar was an extraordinary mother with a tremendous capacity to love with no conditions. The family and friends savor the lessons, and take her life of everyday greatness as her final lesson. We are grateful for this gift.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Jesse Dunson, and James W. Ziglar, and two grandsons Ron Rizer and Billy Lambert. She is survived by her four daughters: Robbie Dunson, Del Freeman (Bob), Mary Dunson, and Donna Dunson, her step children: Winnifred Hollingsworth (Martin) of Atmore, Ala. and Dwight Ziglar (Arlene)of Columbus, Ohio; sisters Marie Blackwelder, Marie Owens, and Audrey Kizer, and one brother, Bill Owens of Alabama. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Christy Brown of Clermont, Rhonda Lambert (Jimmy) of Tallahassee, Rusell Hollingsworth (Pam) of Tallahassee and Randy Hollingsworth (Jennifer) of Dayton, Tenn. Donna, Garcia of Farmers Branch, Texas and David Ziglar of Columbus, Ohio; nephew Leslie Dunson, Jr.; niece Betty Thornhill.
