DAVENPORT - Thomas N. "Tommy" Garrett, 72, of Davenport, FL, died January 8, 2009, in Winter Haven, FL.

He was born September 10, 1936 in Richmond, VA. Tommy retired from Landmark Communications in 1997 after working there some 40 years and he was a member of London Bridge Baptist Church in Virginia Beach, VA.

 He is predeceased by his father, Thomas C. Garrett and his mother and stepfather, Paul and Ethel Louise Gastin.

Tommy is survived by his wife, of 54 years, Patricia Garrett; children, Lou Ann Garrett Taylor (Steve) of Sheridan, IN, Thomas N. Garrett II (Maria) of Virginia Beach, David W. Garrett (Angie) of Nobleville, IN; brother, Ray F. Garrett (Bessie) of Virginia Beach; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grandson and 2 nephews.

Memorial service to be held Monday, January 12, 2009 at 2 pm at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City with Pastor Glenn Giles officiating.
