AUBURNDALE - Galen W. Allen, Jr., 73, of Auburndale, FL died January 5, 2009, in Winter Haven, FL.

He was born July 29, 1935 in Orange City, Florida to Galen W. and Ada Grover Allen. Galen was employed for many years with Haines City Citrus Growers Assoc. as a grove caretaker and he was a member of the US Army National Guard.  His wife, Francis Carolyn Allen predeceases him. He is survived by his sons, Tony Allen of Polk City, Florida, Billy Allen of Auburndale, Florida and Galen W. Allen III.
