HAINES CITY - Doris E. Howard, age 88 of Haines City, Fl passed away Friday (2/27/09) at home from cancer. 

Mrs. Howard was born January 6, 1923 in Center Hill, Fl. and was raised in Auburndale and moved to Haines City in 1953. She was a lunchroom manager for Polk County School System having worked in several local schools. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, Haines City.

She is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, George Calvin Howard. Sons, Paul Howard of Clermont and Carroll Howard of Punta gorda. sisters, Joyce Gibson of Starke and Carolyn  Jones of LaGrange, Ky. 3 Grandchildren, Melody Chestnut Sharah Michelle Howard and Bryan Howard.

Many nieces and nephews. visitation will be 5 to 7 PM. Monday and services 11 AM. Tuesday (3/3/09) at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City, Fl.
