POLK CITY – Herbert Ray Rasnake, 69, of Polk City, Fl Died Monday, February 23, 2009 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center due to Cancer. 

Born January 26, 1940 in Cleveland, VA he moved to the area in 1962.  He was of the Baptist Faith and was the owner of Ray Rasnake Citrus Budding. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Myrtle Tiller Rasnake; 2 brothers, Lane Rasnake and Wayne Rasnake; and a sister, Goldie McGuire. 

He is survived by: his wife of 44 years, Johnnie Rasnake; 3 sons, Jim Rasnake of Maryland, Kenneth Rasnake of Eagle Lake and Randall Rasnake of Winter Haven; a daughter, Wilma Shearer of Winter Haven; 4 brothers, Curtis Rasnake and Beecher Rasnake of Maryland, Pleasant Rasnake of Virginia, and Chester Rasnake of Auburndale, FL; a sister, Imogene Cook of Virginia; 8 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. 

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm till 7:00pm, Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven, FL. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am, Friday, February 27, 2009 in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Duane Hunt and Rev.
