HAINES CITY - Richard L. "Dick" Burke, age 70 of Haines City, Florida Passed away Sat. (2. 14, 2009) in Tampa, Fl. from cancer.

Mr. Burke was born on April 1, 1938 in Clare, Michigan and had moved to Haines City in 2002 from New York.  He was a retired System analyst with Carrier Air Conditioning (UTC) in Syracuse, NY.  He was an Army Veteran and a member of American Legion Post #8 in Winter Haven, Fl. While in Haines City he attended St. Ann Catholic Church.

Survivors include his Wife, Linda (Lockwood) Burke 3 sons, Lawrence Burke and wife Venus of Syracuse, NY. Bradley Burke and wife Marsha  of Syracuse, NY. Joseph Bradt of Key West, Fl. 2 Daughters Gwen Harmych and husband Steven of Henderson, NY. Kimberly Bradt of Orlando, Fl. 3 Sisters, Vera Costello and husband James of Marcellus, NY. Betty Valatka and husband Charles of Lincoln, New Jersey. Sue Susache and Husband Marcelino of Syracuse, NY. 7 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.

Friends will gather from 3 to 4 PM for the celebration of the life of Richard "Dick Burke, Wednesday (2/18/09) at  Lake Henry Estates Club House, Haines City, Fl.
