HAINES CITY - Charles Alfred Congdon, age 77 of Haines City, Fl. passed away Wed. (2/11/09) from respiratory failure. Mr. Congdon was born to Frank Roy and Northabell (Strickland) Congdon on June 6, 1931 and was a lifelong resident of Haines City.  He was a farmer and attended the Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church in Davenport.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Sterling Congdon.

Mr. Congdon is survived by his wife of 52 years, Juanita Congdon.

Edward Leon Congdon of Haines City,  Stephen Travis Congdon of Haines City,

Julie Lynn Barthle of Haines City,

Brother, Elton Congdon of Haines City,   

Sister,  Lillian Barber of Haines City,

 14 Grandchildren

4 Great Grandchildren.  

Visitation will be 5 to 7 PM.  Friday at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 

Services will be  11AM. Saturday (2/14/09) at the Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Chapel in Haines City,

Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Haines City.
