Benjamin Tucker

AUBURNDALE - Benjamin Franklin Tucker, 78, of Auburndale, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center due to Respiratory failure.

Born Feb. 19, 1930 in Dothan, AL, he moved here 59 years ago from Alabama.  He was a truck driver for Minute Maid for 40 years and a member of Pathway Baptist Church in Auburndale. 

He is survived by: his wife of 41 years, Bobbie Tucker; 4 sons, Benny C. (Gwen) Tucker of Auburndale, John A. ( Nanette) Tucker of Auburndale; Michael A. (Cheryl) Tucker of Ocala, FL; and Joel M. (Tammy) Tucker of Ocala, FL; 3 daughters, Dale (Troy) Culbreath of Winter Haven, FL, Patricia Ammons of Auburndale and Jeri (Mark) Glover of Henderson, NC; a sister, Lorena Mercer of Auburndale; 21 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends from 12:00pm till 2:00pm, Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm with Rev. Dennis Owens officiating.  Condolences may be sent at www.oakridgefuneralcare.com.
