Charlotte Alexander

 

WINTER HAVEN - Charlotte J. Alexander, age 76, Winter Haven, FL passed away Sunday Feb. 7, 2009.

She was born Jan. 7, 1933 in Kokomo, Indiana to John M. and Juanita (Taylor) Cox. She was a 40 year resident of Greenfield, IN where she worked for several local physicians and for Cynthia’s Hallmark before moving to Winter Haven, FL in 2000. Mrs. Alexander was a member of First United Methodist Church, Haines City, and their church choir. She worked as a sales clerk for Long’s Hallmark Store, Winter Haven.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers John L. Cox, Richard Cox and sister Kay Bales. Mrs. Alexander is survived by her husband of 56 years, James M. Alexander and three children, Greg Alexander and wife Nora of Versailles, KY; daughter Kathy Barr and husband Stuart of Greenfield, IN; John Alexander and wife Claudia of Ft. Wayne, IN; brothers, Loran and Robert Cox; sisters Connie Johnson, Faye Campbell and Anne Conrad, all of Kokomo, IN; 6 Grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held 11AM. Sat. (2/14/09) at the Greenfield Christian Church, 23 N. East Street, Greenfield, Indiana with the Reverend John Davis officiating. 

Visitation 9 - 10:30 AM at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society of the Choir Fund at the First United Methodist Church 21 South 2nd. Street, Haines City, Fl. 33844.
