LAKE HAMILTON -- Mrs. Maria "Mariquita" Jaime passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2009 in Winter Haven. She was 90.

Born to Socorro Garcia and Soledad Zamudio on January 1, 1919 in Guanajuato, Mexico, she moved here in 1974 from Mexico. Mariquta was a beloved mother and homemaker that truly enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening.

Preceded in death by her husband, Juan Jaime, Mariquita is survived by her children, Jesus Jaime and Nicolas Jaime of Lake Hamilton, Augustin Jaime of Haines City, Guadalupe Garcia of Clinton, North Carolina, Ernesto Jaime and Leticia Ramirez both of Lake Hamilton; twenty seven grandchildren, sixty one great-grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City. The Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow the service at Forest Hill Cemetery, Haines City.
