HAINES CITY - Michael Houston of Haines City, Florida, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2009, in Auburndale, Florida. He was 49.

He was born July 15, 1959 in Memphis, Tennessee and moved to Florida in 1981. Michael was a department manager working for Home Depot in Poinciana, Florida. He was Jehovah Witness.

Michael is predeceased by his mother, Mary Clemons Houston.

He is survived by his father, Luther and wife, Rena Mae Houston of Memphis; wife, of twenty two years, Luz Houston; daughters, Tameka Deshun Houston, Zetra Clentanial Houston, Kimberly Lanette Houston, Tiffany Houston, Sasha Houston; stepson, Richard Bracero; brothers, Luther  and wife Freddie Houston, Sammie and wife, Angela Houston, Jimmy, Jonnie and Reginald Houston; sisters, Mary and husband, Larry Swindle, Tressa Houston; grandson, Kyron Lamar Houston; and thirteen other grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 12, 2009 from 11 am until noon at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City with funeral services to follow at 12 pm.
