DAVENPORT - Allen "Doyle" Watson, age 70 of Davenport, Fl passed away Wed. (2/4/) from Heart Failure in  Davenport.

Doyle was a native Floridian, born in Holmes County Florida, November 12, 1938. He moved to Davenport in the spring of 1959 where he resided in his home on Locke Rd. until his death.

Doyle was a master mechanic and worked for the Chevrolet Dealership in Haines City several years before opening his own auto repair garage in Davenport.

He was of Baptist faith and a member of Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church in Loughman, Fl.

Doyle was preceded by his parents, Jesse Allen and Mary Nelar Watson, Brother, Eugene Watson and Sister, Matrice Fortune.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Pearly Cobb Watson; 2 sons, Allen Watson, Jr. and wife Billie Jo of Davenport and Clinton  Watson and wife Marie, of Darby, Montana; Daughter,  Allison W. Hopen and husband Dennis of Murphy NC;  3 grand daughters, Keri Suggs, Brittany Watson and Anna Hopen;  2 Grandsons, Austin D. Hopen and Jackson T. Watson;  4 Sisters, Marie Tate of Auburndale, Fl, Lorraine Forker of Bartow, Fl, Nuna Still and husband Leonard of Graceville, Fl. , Melba Mewborn of  Jacksonville, NC; Brother Jim Watson of Panama City, Fl.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM. Saturday, (Feb. 7, ) till services at 3:PM. at the Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City, with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Davenport, Fl.
