Johnny Whitaker
HAINES CITY - Johnny Whitaker of Haines City, Florida, died February 2, 2009, in Winter Haven, Florida. He was 61. Johnny was born April 2, 1947 in Winter Haven to Calvin and Martha Williamson Whitaker and has been a lifelong resident of Haines City. Johnny’s occupations included diesel mechanic, heavy equipment operator and he also was a truck driver. He was of the Assembly of God faith and he really loved to fish. He is predeceased by his son Mark Whitaker and survived by his wife, of 33 years, Faye Whitaker; children, Christy Albritton of Florida, Nancy Whitaker of Haines City, Shane Whitaker of Haines City, Kassie Marlott of Kissimmee, Florida, Amber Whitaker of Haines City; grandchildren, Brittany and Mark Whitaker; brothers, Lamond Whitaker of Las Vegas, Nevada, Leonard Whitaker of Haines City; and sister, Delores Allen of Davenport, Florida. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 4, 2009 from 5-7 p.m. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Funeral services will be Thursday February 5, 2009 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Craig Marlott officiating. Burial will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery.
