WINTER HAVEN - William Bush Hartzog, 76, of Winter Haven died Sunday, February 1, 2009 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center due to complications from surgery.
He was born October 26, 1932 in Cottondale, Al. He moved to the area 37 years ago. He was of the Baptist Faith and was a member of the Moose Lodge.. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army until he retired. He was also retired as a Traffic Engineering Supervisor from Polk County.
Preceded in death by his wife Becky Hartzog in 2006, he is survived by: 2 sons, William A. (Linda) Hartzog and Keith Hartzog, both of Winter Haven; a daughter, Regina L. (Ronnie) Boxx of Lakeland; a brother, Rufus Hartzog of Warner Robbins, GA; 2 sisters, Mary Lou Hendley and Ouida Pate both of Panama City, FL; and five grandchildren, Ronnie Boxx, Jr., Tiffany Hartzog, Megan Hartzog, Ryan Boxx and Riley Boxx.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm till 7:00pm, Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Winter Haven. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, February 4, 2009 in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Harkala officiating. Interment will follow at Rolling Hills Cemetery.
