WINTER HAVEN – Gladys Elizabeth Riner,89, of Winter Haven died, Saturday, January 31, 2009 at her residence due to heart failure.
Born February 13, 1919 in Ashburn, GA to Seaborn and Camilla Owens Gladden, she has been a resident of the area since moving here 41 years ago from Ocala, Fl. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Auburndale.
Preceded in death by her husband, Lynwood Riner in 1980, she is survived by her children; Wayne (Nyla) Riner of Winter Haven, Charles (Mary) Riner of Winter Haven, Roger (Mary ) Riner of Haines City, Jeff (Debbie) Riner of Dundee, Richard (Carlene) Riner of Eagle Lake, Phil (Debbie) Riner of Winter Haven, Susan Burch of Winter Haven, and Tim (Donna) Riner of Lake Alfred; 25 Grandchildren; and numerous Great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 till 8:00pm, Monday, Feb. 2, 2009 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Winter Haven. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2009 in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Charles Harkala and Pastor Jonathan Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorials be made to the Missions Fund at Southside Baptist Church, P.O.
