
POLK CITY - Lillie Mae Mixon Anderson, 78, of Polk City, FL passed away on December 16, 2009 at her daughter's residence due to failure to thrive.
She was born August 7, 1931 in Moultrie, GA and moved to Lake Wales, FL when she was 11 years old. Lillie worked as a packer and a packer trainer for Dundee Citrus Assoc. for many years and was a member of Refuge Baptist Church of Davenport, FL. Her interests were the same as her husband and they included hunting, riding 4 wheelers and taking her granddaughter fishing.
Lillie is predeceased by her parents, John W. and Wilma Estelle Gregory; first husband Calvin Mixon and a daughter, Mattie Louise Mixon Anderson and she is survived by her husband, of 38 years, Gerald R. Anderson; children, James Donell Mixon of Haines City, Mary Jane Bolton of Polk City; brother, Gene A. Gregory of Dundee, FL; granddaughter, Donielle Mixon of Lake Hamilton, FL and a step grandson, Robert Hall of Fort Wayne, IN.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, 12/19/09 from 2-3pm with a service to follow at 3 pm at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City.
