HAINES CITY - Geraldine "Jerry" Alford, 74 of Haines City, FL, died April 16, 2009, in Winter Haven, FL due to heart failure.

Jerry was born on July 22, 1934 in Davenport, FL and has been a lifelong resident of the area. She worked with her husband “Red” as a secretary in their family business, W.A. Alford Harvesting, Inc., she was of the Baptist faith and she enjoyed being at work.

Jerry is predeceased by her husband, Wilson A. “Red” Alford and is survived by her daughter, Patricia Alford of Haines City; grandson, Michael (Stacey M.) Towns of Haines City; great grandson, Austin Michael Towns of Haines City; and a sister, Shirley Edge of Jesup, GA.

Visitation will be Sunday, 4/19/09 from 3-5 p.m. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Funeral services will be Monday, 4/20/09 at 2 p.m. at Still Water Christian Life Center, Haines City.
