LAKELAND - Ralph Milton Kinzer, of Lakeland, Fl, died Saturday, April 11, 2009 at his residence due to Lymphoma, surrounded by his loving family. 

Born November 15, 1931in the Village of Wila, PA to Kenneth and Carrie Shull Kinzer, he went to school in a one room schoolhouse.  Ralph also served his country as a Seabee in the U.S,. Navy and after doing 2 tours of duty in Vietnam he retired as a Senior Chief in 1970.   He moved to Lakeland in 2005 from Rhode Island after he retired from General Electric Corporation in Warwick, RI. in 1995; was a member of the Navy Seabees Veterans of America and was the Secretary Treasurer of Island X-1, Davisville, RI.  He served as National Lifetime Membership Chairman for Three Years and was a member of the MCB-6 Association.     

He is survived by: his wife of 53 years, Margaret; 2 daughters, Susan Kinzer of Warwick, RI and Elaine Mittong and her husband Louis of Plant City, FL; a brother, James Kinzer of Pennsylvania; and a grand-daughter, Alexandria Mittong of Plant City. 

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm till 7:00pm, Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven, FL. A Rosary Service will be held at 6:00pm.  A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am, Friday, April 17, 2009 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winter Haven.  Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.  In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the Lymphoma and Leukemia Society at www.leukemia-lymphoma.org.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.oakridgefuneralcare.com.
