WINTER HAVEN – Billy Gene Traylor, 76, of Winter Haven, died Tuesday, April 07, 2009 at his residence due to respiratory failure.  

Born May 4, 1932 in Albertville, AL he moved to Winter Haven in 1961.  He was the Maintenance Supervisor at Haines City Health Care and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winter Haven.  Billy was also Veteran of the Army National Guard and served in the Korean War.   

Preceded in death by a son, James Edward Traylor, he is survived by: his wife of 59 years, Bernice Traylor; 2 sons, Larry Curtis Traylor of Lakeland and Mickey Joe Traylor of Winter Haven; a daughter, Deanna Jean Kitchen of Winter Haven; a sister, Merlane Bishop of Atmore, AL; 5 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.  

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm  till 7:00pm, Thursday, April 9, 2009 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am, Friday, April 10, 2009 in the Funeral Home Chapel.
