HAINES CITY - Rose D. McDowell, 82, of Haines City, FL, died September 21, 2008 in Haines City, FL due to renal failure.

She was born April 26, 1926 in Franklin, NJ and moved here in 1979 from Beacon, NY. Rose was retired from Grenelefe Resorts where she worked in the banquet department for 12 years. She attended NorthRidge Baptist Church, Haines City and she enjoyed crocheting and spending time listening to and singing Christian music and reading her Bible.

Her husband Leslie McDowell and her son William “Bill” McDowell predecease her. She is survived by her children, Leslie McDowell, Jr of Haines City, Cheryl Ann Fortin of Winter Haven, Michelle Cowart of Haines City; grandchildren, Rosemarie Cooper, Bill McDowell, Jr, Bobby McDowell, Bryan McDowell, Jamie McDowell, Steven McDowell, Jimmy Fortin, and Sarah Cowart; and several great grandchildren
