DAVENPORT -- Mr. Daniel "Dan" W. Du Bose of Davenport, Florida entered Heaven's Gates on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 in Haines City.
He was 57.

Born to Vernon Wallace Du Bose and Lilly Frances Howard Du Bose on June 29, 1951 in Tifton, Georgia, he moved here from Miami 26 years ago. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, an Emergency Team First Responder during Hurricane Andrew and a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association. He attended First Baptist Church of Davenport.

Dan is survived by his wife, Sally Larkins Du Bose; daughters, Penny Gordon and husband, Josh of Winter Haven, Tammy Barr of Davenport; granddaughter, Lillyana Barr also of Davenport; brother, Carlos Eugene Du Bose of St. Cloud and sister Mildred Yvonne Mayatt of Collinsville, Mississippi.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, October 13, 2008 at First Baptist Church of Davenport. A Celebration of Life will follow at
2 p.m. Dr. Charles Jones and Dr. Robert White
will officiate.
