LAKE WALES - Frank A. Bowie, 87, of Lake Wales, FL, died November 28, 2008, in Winter Haven, FL due to heart failure.

He was born 10/21/1921 in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Lake Wales in 1994 from East Rutherford, NJ. Frank was a Machinist by trade and of the Protestant faith. He was a Veteran of the US Army serving in WW II and a member of the V.F.W. post 2420.

He is survived by his wife, of 60 years, Lois Bowie; sons, Dennis (Lynn) Bowie of Rolesville, NC, Douglas (Randi) Bowie of Boynton Beach, FL; daughter, Debbie (John) Mania of Lakeland, FL; brother, Jack (Margie) Bowie of New York; sister, Janet (Ed) Connell of North Port, FL; sister-in-law, Grace Bowie of Englewood, FL; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
