HAINES CITY - Michael Ponton, 61, of Haines City, FL, died November 26, 2008, at his residence due to heart failure.

He was born October 17, 1947 in Fall River, MA and moved to Haines City in August of 2007. Michael was a jewelry maker working 25 years with Balfour in Attleboro, MA and for last 10 years he worked with Delta Airlines in Boston, MA. He was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church in Fall River.

He is survived by his wife, of 35 years, Yvonne Ponton; step sons John and Phil Poisson and step daughter, Estelle Lang; brother, Francis Ponton; sisters, Jeanine Angiline, Charlene Ponton, step grandchildren Brian and Tim Poisson; step great grandchildren, Ashley, Chris and Skylar Poisson.
