Paul Emile Camire

 

 

Winter Haven, FL  - Mr. Paul Emile Camire, 80, son of Eustache and Carmeline (Fournier) Camire, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2008, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, Florida, due to liver disease. 
 
The eldest of four children, Mr. Camire was born on February 14, 1928 in Salem, Massachusetts and grew up in Biddeford, Maine.   He attended St. Louis High School and joined the Navy in 1945 serving on the U.S.S. Valley Forge.  He married Laurette Thompson on May 3rd, 1947 in Washington D.C.  He moved to Conneticut in 1957 where he was an offset pressman for eighteen years. Upon his return to Biddeford, he was a school bus driver for ten years. He retired to Winter Haven, Florida in 1987.
 
He enjoyed the Red Sox, swimming, bicycling, horseshoes, shooting pool, shuffleboard and especially golfing. He will be remembered for his daily walks around Fairview Village.
 
Mr. Camire is survived by Laurette, his wife of 61 years, one son Paul R. and Gail Camire of Southington, Connecticut; daughter Paulette Davis and Andy Varanelli of Moriches, New York; daughter and son-in-law Pauline and Michael Domrad of Milbridge, Maine; daughter Paula Cunningham of Bath, Maine and seven grandchildren; Chris, Jeff, Amy, Jennifer, Joe, Elizabeth and Carolyn.  He also leaves two brothers and several nieces and nephews.
 
He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Roland.
