DAVENPORT - Verdie Lee Windham age 84 of Davenport, Florida passed away Wednesday (Nov. 5, 2008) at the Select Specialty Hospital in Orlando, Florida.

Mrs. Windham was born December 18, 1923 in Gainesville, Florida, the daughter of Hudson and Nora Susan (Howard) Palmer. She moved to the Polk County area and had been a lifelong resident. She had worked as a sectionizer for both Bordo Citrus in Winter Haven and Snively Citrus in Eloise and was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Haines City.

Survivors are Son; Kevin Mann of Burleson, Texas, Daughters; Rita Palm of Dundee, Fl. ,Judy Simmons of Haines City, Fl. Linda Waldo of Davenport, Fl. Brothers; Trubie Palmer of Winter Haven, Fl. J. D. Palmer of Gainesville, Florida, 15 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
