David Christopher Callaway WINTER HAVEN - David Christopher Callaway of Winter Haven, FL passed away Friday, May 16, 2008 from respiratory failure in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. He was 60 years old.
A native of Ypsilanti, MI, born July 28, 1947, David moved here in 1995 from Kalamazoo, MI. He was a Construction Superintendent for Whitehead Construction in Winter Haven the last 11 years, was a US Navy veteran during the Vietnam War; and was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.
David is survived by his wife: Linda L. Callaway of Winter Haven, FL, a son: Ernest C. Callaway of Winter Haven, FL, a daughter: Emily Ellen Lewis of Winter Haven, FL; a brother: Lee Callaway of MI; 2 sisters: Diane Parness of TN, and Cassandra Callaway of MI. David also has 6 grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2008 from 12 to 2 PM at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd. NW, Winter Haven, FL 33881. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM from the funeral home chapel. Condolences to the family can be sent to: www.oakridgefuneralcare.com.
