Winter Haven - Mrs. Montez Green, 80, of Winter Haven, Fl died Friday, May 9, 2008 at the Good Shepherd Hospice Resident Center in Auburndale due to heart failure.

 Born November 1, 1927 in Altha, Florida to William H. and Della Goff Roberts she moved to Winter Haven in 1974 from Miami, Florida and she and her husband founded Green’s Market.  She was a homemaker and attended the West Winter Haven Church of God. 

Mrs. Green is preceded in death by: her parents, her husband Edward James Green, Sr. and a son, Jerry Dewain Patterson. 

 She is survived by 2 sons, Edward James Green, Jr. and his wife Kathy of Winter Haven and Timothy W. Green of Dundee, FL;  3 daughters, Erma J. Green, Margaret Montesano and Mary E. Pearce all of Winter Haven; 2 brothers, J. T. Roberts of Winter Haven, James A. Roberts of Melbourne, FL; a sister, Hazel Baggett of Winter Haven; 8 grandchildren, Regina Buckner and her husband Travis, Andrea Friedman and her husband Richard, Edward James Green III and his wife Mindy, Jason Green, Chrissy Pearce and her husband Timothy, Timothy W. Green, Samantha Green and Tina Patterson; and 12 great-grandchildren.

 The family will receive friends from 5:00pm till 7:00pm, Monday, May 12, 2008 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, May 13, 2008 in the Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Carl Thomas officiating.   Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
