Winter Haven - Mavis M. Beamon, 75, of Winter Haven went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 30, 2008 at Winter Haven Hospital due to heart failure.

 Born August 23, 1932 to Charlie M. and Era Campbell Miller in Lake Wales, FL, she has been a lifelong resident of the area.  She was a member of Lake Shipp Baptist Church in Winter Haven, where she had worked for the last 36 years as the Church Secretary.  She also served at the church as the Organist for a number of years. 

 Preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Gloria Faye Norton, Mavis is survived by: a son, David D. Beamon and his wife Vicki of Winter Haven; a daughter, Connie J. Lear and her husband Rick of Winter Haven; a brother, Charles R. Miller and his wife Lucy of Winter Haven; 3 grandchildren, Lauren Lear, Ryan Lear and Leslie Barnes; and several nieces and nephews.

 The family will receive friends from 6:00pm till 8:00pm, Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, April 3, 2008 in the Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.
