DAVENPORT - David Wayne Sampson, 47, of Davenport, FL, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2008 after an extended illness.
David was a sportsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing in Florida and Georgia. Over the years he accumulated a collection of local Indian artifacts, which he studied for historical significance. David greatly enjoyed the beach, both for fishing and relaxing. Aside from the avid outdoorsman, David most valued time spent with his loving family.
David was born October 18, 1960 in Melbourne, FL and is survived by his parents, Sammie Wayne and Martha Joann Sampson, and daughter, Sarah Beth Sampson, 17. Other survivors include, siblings, Dean Sampson, Theresa Oldakowski, and Brenda Bannon, four nephews, and three nieces. David was dearly loved by many and his absence will be keenly felt.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
