WINTER HAVEN - LaZelda Shiley Hayes, 82, of Winter Haven, FL, died Monday, March 17, 2008, in Haines City, FL.
She was born March 11, 1926. LaZelda was a former resident of Saline, MI and moved to Winter Haven in 1984. She was a homemaker and a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, cousin and mother-in-law.
She is survived by her husband, George W. Hayes; children, Mike Hayes and wife Judy of Winston Salem, NC, Patricia Murdock of Tecumseh, MI, Amy LaZelda Roberts-Hall and husband Davyd of Winter Haven, William” Bill” Hayes of Winter Haven, Nancy Napier and husband Herb of Winter Haven, Alice Pinter and husband Joe of Belleville, MI; 14 grandchildren, Debbie, Ritchie, Jennifer, Johnny, Tim, Sam, Melody, Courtnie, Donovan, Khrysta, Brian, William, James; 13 great grandchildren; cousins, Agnes Wynns and Donnie Stokes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Sarah Shiley; first husband, Max Murdock; daughter, Janet Heffington; and granddaughter, Tammy Pinter. LaZelda was a member of Dundee United Church of Dundee, FL and a great friend to all who knew her.
