
LAKE HAMILTON - Jack E. Rubush, 73, of Lake Hamilton, FL, died Wednesday, March 12, 2008, in Tampa FL.
He was born July 17, 1934 to Albert and Lois Haskins Rubush in Lake Hamilton where he has been a life long resident. Jack was in the citrus industry for 50 plus years including owning and operating Rubush Grove Service Inc. for 34 years. Jack was a US Army veteran serving as a military police officer, he was a graduate of Florida Southern College and a member of Family Worship Center of Winter Haven, FL. He served on the Board of Directors for Dundee Citrus Growers Assoc. and was a volunteer Fireman in Lake Hamilton. His hobbies included fishing and the FL Gators but his greatest hobby was Citrus. He just loved his work.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Lisa Rubush Chamlee. He is survived by his wife, of 44 years, Shirley Carmichael Rubush; daughter, Debbie Rubush Winter of Davenport, FL; sisters, Jean Adams of Haines City, FL, Pam Murphy of Jacksonville, FL; granddaughters, Malia Chamlee and Sarah Chamlee both of Haines City.
Visitation will be Friday 03/14/08 from 6-8 p.m. at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, Haines City. Funeral services will be Saturday 03/15/08 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
