DAVENPORT - James Franklin Brannen, age 80 of Davenport passed away Tuesday (6/24/08) in Melbourne, Florida from cancer.

Mr. Brannen was born August 10, 1927 in Plant city, Fl and was a lifelong resident of Davenport.  He was a master electrician  who had worked for Holly Hill Citrus and was the head steward with the Teamsters Union. Mr. Brannen was a Navy veteran of WW II, and of the Baptist faith.  Survivors: two sons, James Brannen of Haines City, and Donald Franklin Brannen of Melabar, Fl. daughter Brenda DeNike of Edgewater, Fl. 2 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren.
