WINTER HAVEN, FLORIDA – Mary Nell Hicks of Winter Haven, FL passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at home from renal failure.  She was 73 years old. 

A native of Geneva County, Alabama, born September 21, 1934, Mary has lived in this area for 50 years, moving here from Highlands County, FL.  She was a clerk for over 30 years for Eckerd Drug Stores, and she was a Baptist.  Mary was predeceased by her husband James Howard Collins. 

She is survived by her son:  Jerry (Denese) Collins of Winter Haven, FL; her daughters:  Alice (Jim) Bockover and Deborah Collins, both of Winter Haven, FL; her brother:  Charles Whitehead of Mt. Vernon, IN; and her sister:  Sue Schroeder of Mt. Vernon, IN.  Mary also has 6 grandchildren, and 4 Great-Grandchildren. 

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 21, 2008 from 10 to 11 AM from the Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven.  Funeral services will follow at 11 AM from the funeral home chapel.  Interment will follow at Lakeside Memorial Park.
