Richard Goodman

Polk City, FL - Richard Lee Goodman, 66, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center due to complications from a stroke.

 Born  to Charles and Doris Hemingway Goodman, June 17, 1941 in Flint, MI, he was of the Methodist Faith.  Mr. Goodman was retired from the Ford Motor Company in Brook Park, OH where he worked as a pattern maker and moved to Florida 11 years ago from LaGrange, OH.  He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of American Legion Post 8 in Winter Haven, FL. 

 Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by: his wife of 26 years, Marie Colella Carson Goodman; 2 sons, Ed Goodman and his wife Barb of Louisville, KY and George Goodman of Berea, OH; 3 sisters, Diane Lang of Parma, OH, Denise Miller and her husband Paul of Claridon, OH and Pam Dunne and her husband Barry of Panama City Beach, FL; “Pop” was also loved by, 4 step-children; 11 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm till 7:00pm, Monday, June 9, 2008 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter Haven, FL.  Funeral Services will be at 10:00am, Tuesday, June 10, 2008 in the Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow at Lakeland Memorial Gardens in Lakeland, FL with Military Honors being conferred.  Condolences may be sent to the family at www.oakridgefuneralcare.com
