LAKE ALFRED - Patricia Diane Bishop- a precious woman of uncommon dignity entered eternal rest on July 12, 2008 after a devastating illness and now walks with our Lord. 

Patricia was a registered nurse in the states of Connecticut and Florida.  During her career, Patricia received many awards and citations.  She was the past Director of Nursing at the St Elizabeth Center in Meriden, Connecticut.  Her last position was at the Gessler Clinic of Winter Haven, Florida.  She enjoyed reading, golfing, swimming, bicycling and fishing. 

Patricia was born on April 2, 1948 in western Pennsylvania to the late Stephen and Vinca Pochiber.  She received her schooling in and around the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania area.  She leaves behind her devoted husband, Jay of over 38 years, her best friend and daughter Tracey, granddaughter Jessica and son in law Scott Despres.  All of who will be at a loss without her.  She is also survived by two sisters Marg and Dolly of the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania area and brother in law Lou, Norm and sister in law Nancy all of the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania area. 

Memorial services will be held Friday, July 18, 2008 at 10:00 AM from the Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Winter Haven, with Rev. Rick Cornwell of the First United Methodist Church of Lake Alfred officiating.  Instead of flowers, please make a donation to the Lake Alfred Florida First United Methodist Church or the Good Shepherd Hospice in her memory.  Her family would also like to thank the Doctors and nurses of Lakeland Regional Medical Center for her care.  Special thanks also to all of Patriciaʼs neighbors and friends who assisted in caring for her.  Condolences to the family can be sent to:  www.oakridgefuneralcare.com.
