Reverend Howard E. Wright 


INDIANAPOLIS, IN - Reverend Howard E. Wright, 85, of Indianapolis, IN passed away in Indianapolis on January 25, 2008.

He was born June 26, 1922 in Los Angeles, California to John Earl Wright and Bess H. Reynold Wright. The Rev. Howard E. Wright was a District Superintendent and a Combat Infantry Officer. He was a longtime minister and resident of Indianapolis. An ordained minister of the United Methodist Church for 60 years, Rev. Wright retired in 1988 after serving as a District Superintendent. Previously he served as a minister of Roberts Park United Methodist Church in downtown Indianapolis. Rev. Wright also served churches in Speedway and South Bend. He was a graduate of Indiana University, Bloomington, IN and Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary, Evanston, IL. A World War II veteran, he was a combat infantry officer in Europe. For meritious service in the European Arena Campaign, he was awarded the Bronze Star.He was the widower of Mary Elizabeth Thomas Writh who was a former resident of Haines City.

There are no immediate family members, however he considered Don and Carol Stafford, Mark and Michelle Glodowski and the Glodowski family , Steve and Susan Walker and the Walker family as his extended family. Interment will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery, Haines City, Florida.
