WINTER
HAVEN - Donal Joe Brown, 72, of Winter
Haven, went to be with the Lord on Saturday,
January 19, 2008 at Winter Haven Hospital after
a two year struggle with cancer.
Born
Aug. 20, 1935 in Walker, OK he moved to Winter
Haven in 1981 from Oklahoma,
He was a member of Christ Community
Church in Winter Haven, was a member of the
Choctaw Tribe and a past member of the Winter
Haven Masonic Lodge and other various Veteran
associations.
He was a veteran and retired from the U.
S. Army as a Sergeant Major having served 2
tours in the Vietnam War.
He was also retired from working as a
Licensed Electrician and a sheet metal worker.
Mr.
Brown is survived by: his wife, Elaine Kay
Brown; his mother, Nita Brown; 2 sons, Rocky
Brown of Winter Haven and Perry J. Brown of
Noble, OK; 5 daughters, Dawn Kern of Norman, OK,
Debbie Sieber of Lakeland, FL, Darla Winters of
Davenport, FL, Dawn Coggins of Winter Haven and
Danyell Coggins of Winter Haven; 2 brothers,
Perry N. Brown of Noble, OK and Bobby Brown of
El Paso, TX; 3 sisters, Barbara Rollins of
Albuquerque, NM, Ramona Dykeman of Paul’s
Valley, OK and Christine Martin
of Paul’s Valley, OK; 14 grandchildren;
and 4 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm will
8:00pm, Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2008 at Oak Ridge
Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., Winter
Haven.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm,
Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2008 in the Funeral Home
Chapel with Pastor Mark James officiating.
Interment will follow at Rolling Hills
Cemetery with full military honors.
