WINTER HAVEN - Carol Ruth Murphy, 75, passed away January 14, 2008 at Winter Haven Hospital from heart failure.
Mrs. Murphy was born April 11, 1932 to August and Elfrieda (Weis) Buecher in Belleville, Illinois. She moved to Winter Haven in 1948 from Illinois and was in retail sales during most of her working life. Mrs. Murphy was a life-long member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Winter Haven and was a member of the Women of Immanuel.
Carol is survived by her husband of 15 years Andrew J. Murphy of Winter Haven, one son Paul “Mark” Weis of Oswego, Illinois, a daughter, Paula Weis Dull of Winter Haven. Mrs. Murphy had five grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 pm Thursday, January 17, 2008 at Oak Ridge Funeral Care, 2425 Havendale Blvd., NW, Winter Haven, FL. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Friday, January 18 in the Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor John Schierenbeck officiating. Interment will take place at Rolling Hills Cemetery. Family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Carol Ruth Murphy be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1449 34th Street N.W., Winter Haven, Florida 33881.
